Guitar Center … Have you love'em or prefer smaller shops?
I know many guitarists and musicians in general this conflict, so I thought I'd see what all the world and someone has to say.
Guitar Center is great, it's like a one stop shop for musicians. I think it is the Wal-Mart of music stores. And I like that. I am a guitarist and, to tell the truth, people who work there do not know the difference between a guitar and monkeys ass. There are very few vendors to choose who know what they are talking, but the rest are just arrogant aggressive sellers. I prefer the small shops in search of a guitar, but for small things like strings that you can not beat Guitar Center pricing and inventory.
